To mark the 85th anniversary this year of the birth of martial arts legend ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ, HKDance Artistic Director ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด ๐ฌ๐๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ผ joins hands with renowned art director ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐บ-๐ฐ๐ต๐๐ป๐ด (winner, Best Art Direction at the Hong Kong Film Awards) and celebrated jazz composer ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐๐๐ถ to create a cross-genre production, portraying Bruce Lee's legendary life journey and his profound inner dialogues. Performed by professional dancers who have undergone eight years of rigorous martial arts training, the work interprets Leeโs martial arts philosophy and spirit through a dynamic fusion of strength and grace.
Employing a dual narrative, Grand Dance Drama ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ช ๐ผ๐ง๐ฉ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ง๐ฎโโ๐ฝ๐ง๐ช๐๐ ๐๐๐โ๐จ ๐๐ค ๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐จ ๐๐๐ฎ traces his spiritual journey โ from Hong Kong to Hollywood, from street fighter to kung fu icon โ embodying his unique soul and martial arts philosophy.
/This production begins with ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ 's martial arts, capturing the fluidity and power of his movements.
