14-15 August 2025 - Roundtable for UK Tech Founders for Upcoming UK Tech Mission to Hong Kong and Shenzhen in November 2025

As the UK’s brightest tech scaleups look to grow globally, Hong Kong and Shenzhen stand out as gateways to Asia’s dynamic innovation, capital, and manufacturing powerhouses.

From 3rd – 7th November 2025, Tech West England Advocates, an active Hong Kong Chamber member, will lead its third consecutive UK Tech Mission, organised by Hewlett Rand, a member of the British Chamber of Commerce UK (BritCham UK). Together with The British Chambers of Commerce Hong Kong and strategic partners including KPMG, InvestHK, Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks, Cyberport, the British Consulate, and the Department for Business & Trade, this mission creates real opportunities for export-ready UK tech founders to connect, collaborate and scale in Asia Pacific.

This year, the mission extends beyond Hong Kong into Shenzhen, adding new dimensions for UK tech businesses in AI, smart cities, cleantech, fintech, healthtech and advanced manufacturing to access China’s supply chain and investor networks.

"The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong supported the past two UK tech missions, and I’ve witnessed firsthand how transformative this market can be for ambitious scaleups. Being on the ground has allowed me to see the real value of connecting UK founders with Hong Kong’s dynamic financial ecosystem, deep investor networks, and strategic access to the Greater Bay Area and mainland China. Hong Kong isn’t just a gateway to Asia; it’s a place where innovation is actively supported and scaled. It’s been a privilege to help UK entrepreneurs navigate these opportunities and turn global ambition into tangible growth." - Paul McComb, Executive Director, The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.

"Having taken part in previous UK Tech Missions, I’ve seen just how impactful these initiatives are for UK tech founders ready to scale globally. The connections and insights gained from engaging with Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area partners have been invaluable—not just for market entry, but for long-term business growth and collaboration. I’m excited to see even more UK innovators take advantage of this year’s opportunities." - Phil McManus, Director, Business Innovation, NTT Com Asia | Docomo Business.
