About the speaker:

Sandy Begbie, Chief Operating Officer, joined Standard Life in May 2010 as the Group Transformation Director and is now responsible for the group’s people, IT, communications and company secretariat functions alongside the Asia and Emerging Market business (based in Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore). He also has Group Executive accountability for the relationship with the Joint Venture Heng An Standard Life in China. 
 
In this session, Sandy, will share his views on the inextricable link between technology and people and how this combination enables the success of a global business. Sandy will talk about how leveraging key resources across the group creates a sustainable platform to support business strategy and enable strategic opportunities.  In addition to supporting customers and propositions, this approach also maximises commercial efficiencies and helps the organisation to better understand and manage organisation wide risks.
