The Committee represents and promotes the collective interests of the retail and hospitality industry in Hong Kong, including luxury brands, food & beverage and consumer goods. 

The Committee shares relevant best practice and provides support and advice within the Committee. To be at the forefront of change, addressing topics that concern industry professionals including inviting influential speakers to meetings and selecting relevant reports/finding to discuss.

The Committee aims to educate & innovate by contributing to the Chamber’s programme of events by actively suggesting speakers and topics on key issues and trends that arise in the retail and hospitality industry. The Committee also acts as a great business and social forum for members to network and meet other industry leaders.

Having spent the last 4 years in Hong Kong, Eira was in Shanghai for the previous 4 also with Pret and was active in the Chamber there. Outside of work she is a keen student of wine, currently studying for WSET diploma and when time allows she loves to enjoy Hong Kong’s amazing hikes.

This requires communicating effectively through the Chamber’s digital platforms and various publications that the Chamber compiles. Karrie is also responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Sterling members and looks after the Luxury & Retail, Innovation & Technology, Creative Industries and Marketing Committees. Karrie has over nine year’s experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, and donor relations in non-profit industries.

She followed her entrepreneurial instincts moving to New York, setting up a fashion events company (whilst working for the History Channel). She then moved into pure play digital marketing, at glue London and Digitas. She joined Red Ant Group in 2010, and was initially responsible for developing the UK business prior to relocating to Hong Kong in 2012 to co-found Red Ant in Asia. From a one-person start-up, Elisa has led Red Ant Asia to its current position, a 30-person, Shanghai based, award winning China marketing agency. Red Ant Asia is a trusted partner of leading international brands operating in China, including: LUSH, CREED, Supergoop! Omorovicza, MOTHER Denim, Agent Provocateur, Realisation Par, Birkenstock, Giuseppe Zanotti, Trudon, and many more.
