Real Estate Committee

The Committee reviews and comments on Government legislation and regulations; promotes the free market of Hong Kong and its standing as a regional and international business centre; represents the views of the Chamber on real estate issues and to provide a forum for Chamber members with regard to the real estate industry of Hong Kong.

The Committee provides information on real estate matters that affect the business of Chamber members in Hong Kong; and promotes social corporate responsibility and sustainability amongst Hong Kong's real estate community.

Born in the UK, Katherine has lived in Hong with her two teenage daughters since 2016. She has been actively involved in the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong since 2019 and is currently Vice Chair of the Social Sustainability Committee.

After 13 years working in the private sector Stephen joined the UK civil service in 2018 as a policy advisor in the Office for the Secretary of State for Scotland advising the Secretary of State on Business, Trade & Industrial Strategy. Stephen went on to work at the Department for International Trade as a ministerial programmes manager covering China, Hong Kong & MEAP. Stephen covered roles in the COVID-19 emergency and Healthcare & Life Sciences teams. Before joining the team in Hong Kong Stephen was the Head of COP26 Stakeholder Engagement.

Stephen holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Strathclyde and a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of the West of Scotland.
