Supervising all aspects of the Chamber’s work, the General Committee plays a very active role in shaping Chamber policy and its public commentary on business issues.
Joining the British Chamber of Commerce is a very rewarding investment. The Chamber is probably the most active in Hong Kong, with a strong Secretariat (under the guidance of David Graham) that supports its members across a wide range of activities and committees. The British Chamber of Commerce is truly “Where Business Gets Done”. The Chamber has an active voice in local Government, proactively giving feedback on a host of issues from the budget to draft Government legislation; the Chamber also lobbies the Government on environmental and educational issues, as well as the ongoing development of Hong Kong’s most prized asset: Victoria Harbour. We also encourage the involvement of younger executives through our Emerging Leaders.
