China Committee

Particular focus is on big picture and cross-cutting issues, to complement the China-related work of the Chamber's other Committees. Regular briefings on the Chinese economy and politics, and occasional briefings on regional / international relations, including inviting authors of new books to speak where possible.

The Committee also develops and capitalises on wider business and government networks to help deliver advice to members and to reflect their views on China-related issues. The Committee also proactively coordinates with other Chamber committees to ensure the Chamber's China offering is aligned. Lastly, feeding members' views on China business environment issues to bodies which can lobby the Chinese authorities (such as the EU Chamber in Beijing) and also lead to the production of positioning papers.
